Darien ICPAS Networking Group – April 17th

The next meeting of the Darien CPA Networking Group will be Tuesday, April 17, from 7AM to 9AM, Panera Bread, 2161 75th St, (Darien Towne Centre) Darien. This is about inclusion and opportunity. If you know someone else who should be invited, especially another CPA, please bring him/her along. This is an opportunity for participation, rather than just coming to listen to someone speak. The format of the meeting is now being used by eighteen very successful networking groups now sponsored by Illinois CPA Society Chapters. The program will run from 7:30AM to 8:30AM with time for informal exchange before and after. Panera Bread sells delicious coffee and breakfast items. There will be no other cost (but your time) for membership in this group.

Everyone will get opportunities to participate with
– announcements of other networking opportunities
– introductions (30 sec) — Who are you? What do you do? and Who is a good lead or referral?
– leads, referrals and thank-you’s
– chit-chat topic

We will focus the program on business generation issues. Bring lots of business cards and brochures (we all know why we’re coming). It’s not so important what business we can do just with each other, but what we can do with the other people we know. For any of us to access this network, though, we need to get to know, like and trust each other better.

If you know a student who should benefit from some adult networking, please invite him/her. If one wants a useable “network” by age 40, the work must start many years earlier. Please pass the word. You can’t have too many friends.
