Arlington Heights and Education Hubs Launch

HandsOn Suburban Chicago (HOSC) and Linked Local Network (LLN), as part of the Community Hub Network, have collaborated to launch two new websites focusing on Arlington Heights and Education.  The sites will be previewed on May 1^st at 8:30 am at the Forest View Education Center Theater in Arlington Heights.  In attendance will be Thomas Hayes Arlington Heights Mayor, Carl LaMells of Clearbrook, and Mike Fiel Director of Community Education at Township HS District 214.

These two new Internet websites are designed to share news, information and events that professionals can use to grow their organization, engage in community dialogue and create long-term, mutually beneficial relationships between business, nonprofit, public service agencies and education sectors.

There will be a short presentation on how organizations can get involved and an opportunity to ask questions. There will also be a virtual ribbon cutting. This event is free to attend.

On Thursday, March 28, 2013, I had the distinct honor of interviewing an inspiring man on his business, his background, and his reasons for changing careers a decade ago. But, as my show title states: “Got Lemons?…” I had lemons on Friday morning when I began the production process of the pre-recorded program. I was discouraged and felt that I had failed, when in reality, it was a computer glitch on the side of the company I use for my pre-recordings. The call registered, showed in my list of tapings, the exact time the call lasted, but there was no accompanying MP3 to upload for my show.

I e-mailed every way I had, after first calling the guest to let him know what had happened. This man is extremely busy, thus his great success in his business and all that follows. After attempting to reach my scheduled guest with no luck, I went on the air. I thought this would help, but I believe my voice portrayed my dismay and I did not do the justice my guest deserved. But, here is my playback in my memory of what caught my attention about this man, and why he has been on my list for quite a while as a great guest!

Cynthia’s service is to revitalize the human spirit with loving consciousness. She has been a wellness educator, illuminating the wellness that flows within humanity through wellness education, life coaching, and intuitive loving services for 30 years.

Cynthia has extensive education, training, and certifications in complementary and alternative medicine. She successfully developed, designed, and directed her own wellness center and a five star spa in Breckenridge, Colorado.

She has studied permaculture and sustainable living while living in her own 70 acre ranch and solar home off the grid from 1994 until 2002. She is a flower essence practitioner and teaches about the wildflowers and animal totems in her workshops.
